Forty events from North Carolina to Washington State will mark this yearandrsquo;s USA Cycling Cyclo-Cross National Racing Calendar which kicks off on September 20. Excluding the USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Championships set for Kansas City, Dec. 11-14, all of these events are a part of the UCI Cyclo-Cross Calendar, once again giving the United States more internationally-sanctioned cyclo-cross races than any other nation for the 2008-09 season.
First-ever Mountain Bike Summit brings industry members together
The first-ever USA Cycling Mountain Bike Summit went off Nov. 14-16 in Colorado Springs with the simple goal of providing a forum for industry stakeholders to share ideas. The three-day conference offered a variety of industry members the opportunity to collectively meet and discuss direction and changes within the sport, share best practices and develop initiatives to advance mountain bike racing in the United States. The 45 attendees took part in several colloquiums involving USA Cycling staff and industry experts on Saturday before participating in round table discussions surrounding a variety of topics on Sunday.
